Among one of the oldest deities in the world, celebrated in the Andes and Amazon areas. We celebrate Mother Earth by giving thanks for the abundance and diversity of life on our beautiful planet. Our community gathers and sings while digging into the earth and all take turns placing a paper with handwritten thanks into the space. In the end, a bit of food is added to thank Mother Earth for all her bounteous blessings, for food, and for the protection of all. The celebration concludes with a shared meal.
